1.Integrate new knowledge about acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) to increase competency in the recognition of its acute clinical presentation and likely prognoses and outcomes.
2.Become more familiar with ACLF scoring systems and the ability of these scores to predict mortality.
3.Facilitate discussion within my health care team to establish a consistent approach to the identification of (or request for consult for the identification of) suitable candidates with ACLF for liver transplant.
4.Demonstrate an increased awareness of the wide scope of indicators that can affect ACLF and how these indicators including timing, comorbidity, infection, and organ failure impact transplant algorithms.
