Participants will explore how to reduce their own care provider burnout through art techniques designed to connect with the amygdala -the section of the brain that handles stress.
Participants will describe why selection of art materials for clients is important.
Participants will list active listening techniques and describe how to use those skills in a therapeutic art experience, with the hope of enhancing their connections with clients.
Participants will describe the distinction between offering art therapy and providing art that is therapeutic
Participants will discuss the importance of nervous system regulation after high stress work and practice a new technique to regulate their own nervous systems.
