Nurses Lead and Transform Palliative Care: A Call for Action

1.Upon completion of the program, the learner will be able to recall the history of nursing and palliative care along with nursings role in palliative care in the US.

2.Upon completion of the program, the learner will be able to identify opportunities to advance communication/advance care planning, coordination/transitions of care, and pain and symptom management as it relates to primary palliative nursing.

3.Upon completion of the program, the learner will be able to discuss strategies to address these opportunities to help nursing transform the care and culture of serious illness
