The learner / attendee will understand the difference between the services paid for by Medicaid and Medicare.
the learner will be able to verbalize what services Medicaid pays for and in which settings.
The learner will be able to explain what assessments must take place for home care Medicaid.
The learner will be able to verbalize how they will explain to patients the process by which they can appeal home care hours and apply for a fair hearing.
The learner will be able to verbalize the difference between chronic and community Medicaid including look back, asset limits, and income disbursement.
The learner will be able to identify and advise which setting can offer the safest environment for the patient while still meeting their individual goals and needs as well as the environment supporting their highest practical level of functioning.
