Ethics and Ageism

Learning Objectives
The participant will discuss the definition of ageism and demonstrate how each of the four types relates to ethics.
The participant will discuss what ethics is; differentiate between normative and nonnormative, and the define and apply the four clusters of moral principals.
The participant will demonstrate how the moral principals of ethics apply to ageism.
The participant will apply and utilize knowledge related to the four ethical principals to address the care needs and desired outcomes of elderly individuals.
