Course Provider
Learning Objectives
1.Be familiar with the differences between the current organ-allocation system and the anticipated continuous distribution framework and consider how this may affect patients in my clinical practice.
2.Continue to increase familiarity with potential organ recipients composite allocation scoring under the new points system and how this score is determined.
3.Demonstrate knowledge of the timeline and logistics by which all organ systems will transition to the new continuous distribution framework and facilitate awareness of this transition within my health care team and with potential transplant recipients.
4.Discuss with potential transplant recipients how the transition to the continuous distribution organ allocation framework may potentially affect their transplant journey and potential outcomes.
