Learning Objectives
Attendees will identify uncommon work comp injuries such as neurological, prosthetic and work related trauma due to chronic pain and will learn to identify ways they can safely return an injured worker back to work
Attendees will be able to explain the process of the treatment, evaluation and physical therapy for a shoulder injury.
will discuss the shoulders complex anatomy, and identify specific shoulder injuries and the treatment plans for each of those injuries.
They will be able describe and explain what the Medicare set aside submission process is; be able to explain what mandatory insurer reporting is and discuss the importance of both of these topics within work comp
attendees will be to identify the dangers of normalizing deviances from best practices and explain how this can severely affect the work place team and its goals
They will be able to identify and describe the misuse of AI and discuss the ethical pitfalls associated.
Attendees will be able to explain the work comp process from the perspective of the injured worker, by discussing the various work comp benefits available to the injured worker, the ethical guidelines and the legal procedures and the unique challenges associated with representing Spanish speaking clients.
