We each carry within us a moral compass; it helps us to know the right thing to do in ethically challenging situations, pointing relentlessly to our personal “true north.” But sometimes, clients or their family members make decisions that point in a different direction, and the result is moral distress. In this webinar, we will examine situations that cause moral distress for case managers, with a focus on solutions and methods to transform moral distress into moral resilience.
Learning Objectives:
- Define moral distress as it relates to case management;
- Describe an ethical scenario that can cause moral distress for case managers; and
- Discuss three ways case managers can manage moral distress by cultivating moral resilience.
