San Diego, CA, Aug. 24, 2020 — The Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) and the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) are pleased to announce a new collaborative agreement to support and promote professional development opportunities for Associate Disability Management Specialists (ADMS) and Certified Disability Management Specialists (CDMS).
Through the agreement, DMEC will provide ADMS and CDMS designees pre-approved continuing education opportunities through online and in-person events, including webinars, virtual events, and conferences. A designee can apply DMEC continuing education credit that is pre-approved towards their recertification requirements beginning Sept. 1, 2020. The goal of the collaboration is to support disability management specialists with relevant, accessible education that enhances the expertise they apply to their daily work.
“We are pleased to be partnering with CCMC to offer absence and disability management education to a larger community of professionals throughout the country.” said Terri L. Rhodes, Chief Executive Officer of DMEC. “As leave laws continue to expand, so does the complexity of leave management. Ongoing education is required to ensure local, state, and federal compliance.”
