Case Managers Come Together at CCMC’s New World Symposium 2018 to Discuss the Current and Future Landscape of Industry

The Commission for Case Manager Certification® (CCMC), the first and largest nationally accredited organization of board certified case managers will celebrate its 25th Anniversary at their New World Symposium this January in Nashville, TN. The annual two-and-a-half-day Symposium will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, January 18-20, 2018. Industry thought leaders will present cutting-edge content for a completely customizable experience for attendees.

CCMC’s New World Symposium 2018 will develop a well-prepared case management workforce which is essential to establish an interdisciplinary community advancing enhanced patient experience, improved population health, smarter spending and improved work/life balance. Attendees will have the opportunity to rub elbows with the thinkers, drivers and change agents of the industry through five plenary sessions, three pre-conference workshop options and numerous general sessions. Trending topics to be discussed at Symposium include: the opioid crisis, telehealth, holistic case management, personal safety for case managers and data and the future of patient care.

Karen DeSalvo, MD, MPH, MSc, former Acting Assistant Secretary for the Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will kick off the first plenary session. Other plenary speakers include Kana Enomoto, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Thomas Goetz, Iodine Co-founder. Radio personality, Patrick Henry will also host a plenary session. Closing the Symposium will be, Dara Richardson-Heron, MD, Chief Engagement Officer for All of Us Research Program at the National Institutes of Health.
