Learning Objectives
Identify and practice using screening strategies and tools when delirium, depression, and/or dementia is suspected
Demonstrate screening tools
Approach and dynamic assessment using Teepas Positive Physical Approach (PPA), Handunder-Hand (HuH), and Visual-Verbal-Touch (VVT) cues combined with interview of support personnel
Assess information on what reporting out findings related to timing, who should be contacted, what additionally should/could be done, and professional responsibility. Possible resources and referral options when one or more of the three Ds is suspected will be identified
Review options for care provision plans and strategies
Revisit the initial role play discuss what was happening sort out all characteristics add data from these screens and assessments
Create initial actions and set-up a comprehensive care plan that addresses all three Ds
