The learner will be able to describe the core competencies commonly associated Rehabilitation, Workers Compensation and Disability Management that help case managers ensure patients receive appropriate care to allow them to reach their full potential and timely return to work.
The learner will be able to demonstrate the role of technology in case management and care coordination
The learner will be able describe documentation systems and evidence based guidelines impact on decreasing variations in care and quality improvement through organizations/systems of care.
The learner will be able to apply the various resources and the rules that case managers need to understand in order to ensure the patient has access to the resource they need to meet their individual needs.
The learner will be able explain the concept of utilization management and regulations/regulatory bodies that impact it.
The learner will be able to communicate how case management works in a collaborative process with the entire care team to effect best outcomes for patients/clients.

The learner will be able to describe principles and best practices of population health/disease/condition management that case managers should incorporate into practice regardless of setting.
