Learning Objectives
Participants will discuss the results of recent clinical trials looking at de-escalation of radiation therapy in neoadjuvant treatment of rectal cancer.
Participants will describe how these results may be integrated into clinical practice for treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer.
Participants will define the characteristics of a patient with rectal cancer who is a good candidate for de-escalation or omission of radiation therapy.
