Speaker bio:
Laurinda Reynolds is the author of the well-cited article, The COVID-19 Pandemic Exposes a Limited Understanding of Ageism and the first author of the well-known ageism intervention, the Ageism First Aid course. The course development was funded by the Retirement Research Foundation, it is currently hosted and supported by the Gerontological Society of America. Currently, Laurinda is a professor of gerontology and psychology in Sacramento, California at American River College, and also serves as the Gerontology Department chair and program coordinator. Her organizational work is ongoing with the California Council on Gerontology and Geriatrics, and her anti-ageism efforts continue as she focuses on a multigenerational ageism intervention, writing integrated ageism-free curricula, and a book.
