Application Process and Status Definitions

Please find the below process on how to find the CCMC exam application and the process of what to expect after you submit and pay.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Check to see if you meet all eligibility requirements in the CCMC Certification Guide
  2. Once you confirm that you meet the requirements, log into your CCMC account/create an account by clicking "LOG IN" in the top navigation bar on the CCMC website. 
  3. Choose "CCMC Exam Application"
  4. Complete the application to its entirety and then choose "Checkout and Make Payment"
  5. Once you completed and paid for your application, you will notice the application status is "Staff Review" (this means nothing else is needed from you at this time)
  6. Some application will automatically be system reviewed and you will immediately be in a status of "Exam Authorized" and will be able to schedule your exam immediately
  7. If your application goes to Staff Review, please allow up to six weeks for CCMC to review your application
  8. Once reviewed, you will receive an email from CCMC with an updated status of your application. 
  9. If your application is approved, you will receive an automated email with instructions on how to schedule your exam. 
  10. If your application is denied, you will receive an email notification that day with additional information. 

Application Status Definitions:

  • Pending: This means that you are missing information in the application and has not been submitted. 
  • Checking out: You have completed the necessary information needed within the application, but have not submitted payment for it yet. The application will not be reviewed until payment is made. 
  • Staff Review: You have successfully paid and submitted the application. Once reviewed by the Commission, you will receive an email. 
  • Exam Authorized: CONGRATS, you have been approved and should automatically receive an email with your scheduling instructions. You can also navigate to "Manage Exam" from you online account menu options.
  • Denied: Your application was either missing information or you did not meet the eligibility requirements. If you have not received an email from the Commission, please contact us for further information. 
  • Need More Information or Accommodations Need More Information: This status means that the Commission needs more information from you to approve your application. Please monitor your email for further instructions.
  • Accommodation Staff Review: This status means your application has been approved and CCMC staff is working to set up your accommodations with Pearson VUE. Please  do not schedule your appointment until you are notified by CCMC.
