With millions of new immigrants coming to our country each year, the need for awareness and skill development to communicate and advocate for individuals in a meaningful, culturally competent manner is crucial. This session will bring a sophisticated, world-aware perspective to our growing population diversity and the education and cultural barriers that can affect health. Participants will gain insight into social and cultural factors case managers must keep top of mind as patient advocates and case management professionals.
