Discuss rehabilitation through the acute phase of a stroke.
Learn prevention methods for additional physical complications that arise with a stroke.
Discuss comorbidities of stroke, ie. Diabetes/glycemic control, hypertension, SUDs, and post-stroke depression
Learn to assess stroke severity and stroke impairment of communication, mobility, and cognitive function
Assess function status of stroke patient (including activities of daily living [ADL] and instrumental activities of daily living [IADL]).
Identify the community support systems for patient and family
Determine rehabilitation needs, settings, treatment plans, possible interventions, and assessment of progress and adherence.
Learn about stroke discharge from rehabilitation and long-term management.
